Heaven and hell
Once a man wanted to learn what heaven and hell were. An Angel said to him, "I will show you." He took him to hell – there was a lavish feast, beautiful curtains, lights, and the table had everything you could imagine, nothing was missing. However, the people around were unhappy because they had long arms and could grab the food but couldn't put it in their mouths; their arms couldn't bend. They tried but couldn't. The Angel said to the man, "This is hell."
They went to Heaven - absolutely the same setting and feast. All kinds of dishes, and there people also had long arms, but they were joyful and satisfied. Why? They couldn't eat by themselves either. But one was feeding the other. This, the Angel told him, is Heaven.
May we manage to live on earth with the kind of love that people in heaven live with.
